Lessen the environmental impact.... Go Green!!

As an ordained minister, I personally feel a responsibility to be a "steward of the earth". In the wedding industry, we can certainly find many ways to lessen the environmental impact by going green! I have seen many websites, books, and news articles about how couples do seriously consider the environment when planning their weddings. I am going to share those websites and book ideas with you and suggest ways in which you can also be a steward of the earth in your wedding planning.

Today, I wanted to talk about a location that is a perfect setting in our efforts to lessen the impact. When I am at the Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, Florida, I am so in tune with nature. Every corner of the area is beautiful, whether it be flowers, trees, or butterflies. I feel tranquil at these various locations. I have officiated several weddings there, in the butterfly garden area, and it is so beautiful to see the butterflies dancing around during the ceremony. At the Oak Pavilion, I am amazed by the natural arch formed by the live oak trees where the couple stands under the canopy of trees to take their vows.

Since 1935 the Sunken gardens has been a favorite setting for exchanging those special vows. The beauty and tranquility of this timeless sanctuary will add an air of romance to your special day.

Call (727) 551-3106 today and let them help you create a garden wedding filled with splendor and magic.

Palm Harbor - Going to the Chapel....and we're gonna get married!!

Many times I speak to couples who want to get married in a church, but they may not be affiliated with a particular denomination. I am so happy to be able to help them locate a beautiful chapel that will have a gorgeous setting, ample seating and parking, and will be a glorious location for their wedding. Two such locations that I particularly thing are beautiful are the Rheba Sutton White Chapel in Palm Harbor and the Andrews Memorial Chapel in Dunedin, Florida.

The Rheba Sutton White Chapel is located on Georgia Avenue in the quaint town of Palm Harbor, Florida, located close to the Gulf of Mexico. It is a non-denominational, secular chapel, with a seating capacity for guests of 150 and has elegant vintage stained glass windows, and hardwood flooring. The chapel is also perfect for baptisms, baby blessings, renewal of vows, and memorial services.

In addition, the Harbor Hall is available for the reception. There is ample parking and is a wonderful location to have your entire event in one place for the convenience of everyone.

You can have a look at their website at http://www.thepalmharborwhitechapel.com/ or give Janice a call at 727-787-4700.

Another beautiful chapel is the Andrews Memorial Chapel located on San Matteo Drive in Dunedin, Florida. This chapel has the distinguished honor of being listed in the United States Registry of Historic Places.

The Chapel is graced with elegant Victorian architecture and has a fascinating history behind it.

Their website will give you more detail, have a look at http://www.andrewsmemorialchapel.com/ or you can call Linda at 727-529-9233 or email her at dunhist@compuserve.com

Both Chapels are elegant and will provide the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony.
