Juniper Trio for incredible Celtic Wedding Music!

Recently, I had the pleasure to enjoy the Celtic music of Juniper. In fact, I was so impressed by them, I introduced myself to them, and asked them about their work and their availability for weddings. I was pleasantly surprised at their response and YES of course, they would be honored to work with us for the Celtic Weddings, or any weddings where the couple would like some very special music.  Frances and Jasmin would love for you to visit their website and enjoy some of their music and keep them in mind for weddings or other special events. I know I will!

Who is JUNIPER?

JUNIPER is the Traditional Celtic/Alternative Folk duo of Frances Pisacane (fiddle) and Jasmine Hart (guitar & vocals). While on their Annual Summer Mountain Tour, they recorded their third CD, "Live From The Appalachians", which has just been voted #3 Celtic Album Of The Year (2008) by WNCW in Asheville, NC. In January, Juniper opened for The Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra and in March, they celebrated their 10-year music anniverary with another appearance on CBS Television's "Studio 10". Their second CD, "Stepping Stones", was also nominated Album Of The Year in 2007...
Juniper weaves a tight tapestry of haunting melodies and lush harmonies. Sprinkle in some fiery rhythms and compelling vocals and you have the unique sound which transports Juniper's fans to an ancient time with jigs, reels and aires, and then brings them back with original Alternative Folk compositions.

Real Wedding Wes and Jenn at Turtle Cove Marina and Yacht Club

Turtle Cove Marina & Yacht Club

Jenn and Wes selected the Turtle Cove Marina and Yacht Club in Tarpon Springs for their very special day........................
What is more special that getting married?  Wes and Jen thought it would be wonderful to baptize their son since all of the guests would already be there.

It was a beautiful and memorable time for everyone.

The guests were unaware that a baptism was to follow the nuptuals and were pleasantly surprised.

After the wedding and the baptism, the couple shared a butterfly release with their immediate family.  As you can see, some got an up close and personal look at the butterflies.

Wes and Jenn were such a great couple to work with, and their son enjoyed all of the attention he received that day as well.

Congratulations Wes and Jenn!

A Chocolate WIne Ceremony......I think I will have it for my renewal!

The Chocolate Wine Ceremony

A Non-denominational Wedding Ceremony Tradition

If you love the idea of having a personally meaningful ceremony- something that adds an element of the sacredness to your wedding, this unique ceremony may be just what you are looking for. It is a way for a couple to express the bond they were forming. There is also a kind of innocent sexiness in a way that is appropriate for family but speaks deeply to the couple participating in this ceremony.
"There will come in your life days of great sweetness, and days of bitter sorrow. There will be celebrations, and there will be tears. There will be triumphs, and there will be tragedies. Life holds indescribable happiness in store for you both - and unavoidable pain, as well. And so to symbolize your acceptance of this reality, today you will share the bitter and the sweet, just as you will share them in the years to come. Both of you will now share this bitter, dark chocolate. Taste in it the dark days which will rock your marriage and test its strength. It represents disappointment, illness, grief. Know that these hard times will come, and with them, the opportunity to deepen your bond as husband and wife"
Other Variations of a Wine Ceremony include:
  • One ceremony is to pour a glass of wine, talk about its aging and mellowing and about sharing wine together, then each the bride and groom drink from it. We've seen couples pass the wine glass to their family members as a remembrance of the history of their families, now united.
  • Another version of the wine ceremony is that 2 glasses are poured and the bridal couple drinks while their arms are locked. This is a little tricky, so you want to practice this before the big day!
  • The Jewish wedding calls for drinking wine and then taking a glass, wrapped in a cloth, and crushing it underfoot.
  • Another variation is having a glass of red wine and a glass of white wine. The Couple drink from each glass and then they pour their wine together in a separate glass, and the new glass of wine looked like a rosé. The officiate talks about the color of their wines and the blending of their hearts together to become one.
You can even use your own imagination and come up with something even more unique to the two of you! One couple chose to have Chocolate and Peanut Butter.

Real Celtic Wedding by LovingUnity.com Dawn and Mark

When Dawn Ireland and Mark Stewart decided to tie the knot, they wanted a small, intimate, wedding on the beach, the was celtic to honor their heritages. The area was prepared with a circle, representing the cyclic and eternal nature of life itself.

The Prelude,  "Endearing Young Charms", a traditional irish song that reminds us true love is not based on transient, outward beauty.

The bride was escorted in by her dad, to the music "Morag of Dunvegan", a Scottish tune about marrying your true love.

After the words of welcome by Rev. Virginia Bishop, the couple were invited to step into the circle to begin their ceremony.

The bride wore a magnificent lace gown, with green shoes!  Her dad and mom wore their traditional clan plaid accessories.  At the beginning of the ceremony, the Declaration of Love reading that was selected by the couple was read.

. In addition to their vows and ring exchange, Dawn and Mark had a handfasting ritual. The handfasting was done using a piece of the groom's tartan, wrapped around the wrist of the couple, symbolizing unity.  It is from this tradition, that we get the term "Tied the knot".

After the closing blessings, the couple left the inner circle to the tune "Westering Home", a Celtic folk song about returning to your homeland.

After the wedding, the parents proudly signed the marriage license as witnesses to the wedding.

The couple shared the roots of their Celtic Surnames:
Ireland:  Irish/Scotts - someone who comes from Ireland. Can be traced back to the ancient Kingdom of Dalriada in Scotland. Clan Motto:  Love and Peace.

Stewart: Scottish - From the word steward, one who is in charge of the King's Royal Household. The Stewart family held the Scottish Crown for several centuries, the most famous member being Mary Queen of Scotts.  Clan Motto:  Courage Grows Stronger at the Wound.
