Booth Bay Harbor Maine Wedding
There are so many magnificent locations to be married along the coast of Maine, and Booth Bay Harbor is one of my favorites! The wedding of Laura and Jeremy took place at a private residence overlooking the ocean. It was a misty day, but the sights and sounds of the ocean and gulls made for a beautiful backdrop. The wedding party and family feasted on a real true Down Maine Lobsterbake with lobster, mussels, corn on the cob, all cooked over a seaweed fire. Fabulous! Congratulations Jeremy and Laura!

Portland Headlight, Portland, Maine - Beautiful Maine Wedding Locations
Portland Headlight is the most photographed lighthouse in the United States! It was also the location of the wedding ceremony of Bryan and Liz!!! Bryan and Liz had a planned elopement officiated by Rev. Boyd and they wrote their ceremony and their vows to each other. Liz and Bryan both grew up in Northwest NJ. Liz owned a gym and a client of her's is Bryan's best friends girlfriend. In the Spring of 2007, Bryan's friend had a party at his house and his girlfriend talked him into a blind date with Liz. Well, they have been madly in love ever since. Liz has since sold her business and we've moved to Northeast PA. Byan is an electrical engineer and Liz is finishing up her teaching degree. They are both very excited to start a family and spend the rest of our lives together. Conratulations Bryan and Liz!!! All our best to you!

Bridgton, Maine - A Tennis Love Match!!
That is what I call the wedding of Cherie and Lee! Cherie and Lee met on Match.com and they told me that after just 1 date, they knew that they had met their match! They are both working at Camp Wildwood in Bridgton, Maine during the summer, Lee is the Tennis Coach and Cherie is the a Secretary at the camp. During the school year, Lee teaches Physical Education and Health to Elementary and Middle students in Upshire County, West Virginia and coaches the Wesleyan College Women's Tennis team. Cherie is a teachers assistance in Randolph County, WV.
Since so much of their day revolves around tennis and the camp, what better way to celebrate their union than a Tennis Themed Wedding!
The natural setting of trees provided an aisle which was lined by enthusiastic guests holding up tennis rackets as the archway for the bride as she made her way to the dock. These guests were the 200 campers who they share their summer with, along with their fellow staffers. Before the bride came through the aisle of tennis rackets, Amy and Esther were the tennis ball girls instead of flower girls. They distributed tennis balls along their procession. The ring bearer was Jelly, a beautiful dog in her tennis attire. Jelly wore a tennis skirt, t shirt and visor, and had the important task of getting the wedding rings to the ceremony.
Cherie wore a cute white and black tennis outfit, complete with white visor adorned with a veil and yellow flower attached. Lee wore a black tennis shirt and shorts and a black cap.
Music was provided by Frank and Obie, on their guitars. They are staff members at the camp as well. The cake was made by Brandi and Kevin, Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Worker, it was adorable. Brandi was also creative with her detail to making a bridal tennis racket adorned with yellow flowers.
The wedding took place on the dock, as the campers all looked on and cheered. As Cherie and Lee were expressing their vows, the sun broke through the clouds for all to enjoy.

Both New England and Florida have magnificent coastlines to take advantage of when you think about a beach location for your wedding. The wedding of Deb and Roger took place in Maine at Pine Point Beach in Scarborough. When planning your beach wedding, I always jokingly suggest to couples that they look at the Farmers Alamanac to see the history of weather for that date they are interested in. Deb and Roger had the dream of getting married on Pine Point Beach, and even tho the sky was cloudy, their hearts were filled with joy!

Rev. Heather Boyd of LovingUnity.com officiated the custom wedding ceremony, as Deb and Roger were united together with their children. Recognizing the significance of the wedding ceremony and the joining of parents is one of the wonderful elements in any wedding. Blended sand is very popular, as well as the giving of gifts, and stating of vows to the children. It is a big day for them too!!!
If you had a beach wedding yourself, tell me about it! If you are looking for a beach location for your wedding, ask me! I'd love to hear all about your ideas about getting married on the beach.
Congratulations Deb and Roger!
Email me or phone me at 727 532-6186 or 207 590-6339 and let me help you find a great location to get married.

What a blessing it is to have a birth or an adoption. It's a time of great happiness and family joy! We were honored recently to minister to the baptism of Noah. It was a very beautiful event, while Noah's parents Terrence and Rochlle cuddled him, the guests were entertained by a friend singing a song from Hendel's Messiah, blessing everyone with their tears or goose bumps. Noah's sister Christina, contributed by reading the poem "Little One." After Rochelle and Terrence pledged to love and care for Noah always, Noah's godmother Lauren, who had written and framed an original poem, offered her gift aloud.
The warm breeze, sunshine, and backroud music of the birds framed Noah's godfather Gary's presentation, which he prefaced with the assurance, "I promised Noah I wouldn't talk forever." His two readings and prayer were full of beauty and sincerity.
Following the actual water baptism, about which Noah squealed his disapproval, Rev Terri Hutchins of LovingUnity.com welcomed him into the family of God while he sat in his Momma's lap, cool and comfortable. As a perfect ending to a perfect ceremony, little Noah giggled and cooed right along with me through to the closing. Welcome Noah and congratulations to Rochelle and Terrence and their families!!

Victorian Wedding on Sand Key Beach
Congratulations Elizabeth and Andy! The wedding of Elizabeth Churchward and Andy Smith took place on Sand Key Beach just before sunset, officiated by Rev. Terri Hutchins of LovingUnity.com The bride entered to music intertwined with the breezes and the call of the gulls, providing the perfect background for the wedding and procession. Three barefoot flowergirls tiptoed through the sand in off white petticoats detailed with gold brocade. They each carried a basket of rose petals. Elizabeth's sons, Liam and Kayne followed and served as the ring bearers, wearing black tuxedos and serious faces as they carefully carried their golden cargo on white silk pillows.
The bride's dad escorted her through the sand. She was wearing a victorian style, off-white long dress, and presented her mother and soon to be mother in law with a small bouquet of flowers as she made her way toward the groom. Andy waited for his bride with a huge grin on his face, standing inside a giant heart shape in the sand. Andy looked dashing in a victorian suit.
Elizabeth and Andy shared vows they had written themselves, and it was touching that he not only vowed to love and cherish Elizabeth, but also to love and respect Kayne and Liam as his own. They exchanged rings and shared a kiss, and they were pronounced husband and wife just as the sun dipped into the gulf waters.

Portland, Maine Weddings - Married at Sea?????

I was so excited as I performed a wedding ceremony on The Cat Ferry, a high speed catamaran that operates between Maine and Nova Scotia! Stephen and Vanessa of New York got married on 8/8/08 at 8:08 p.m.! Vanessa loved Maine and she always wanted to see Nova Scotia, Stephen just so happened to be going on a motorcycle trip that would follow the Cabot Trail and end in Halifax, Nova Scotia. They decided that would be a great time to tie the knot on the Ferry on the return trip!
The Cat is a high speed catamaran ferry offering service between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine. It was dubbed one of the world's "superships" by the Discovery Channel and transports cars and passengers.

The bride wore a beautiful gown with maroon floral accents, along with a gorgeous veil and tiara with diamond and maroon acccents. She was given in marriage by her dad and her son. She was beautiful! Stephen, quickly changed out of his motorcycle clothing into a white jacket with maroon vest and black pants. The remainder of the biker guests wore a variety of outfits and all had a wonderful time.
The purser, Ken Winter, pictured with the couple provided us with outstanding customer service, and was like one of the wedding party. We all enjoyed him, and appreciated his attention to details. Thanks Ken!!
Vanessa and Stephen, all my best to you, and your unique and custom wedding was incredibly beautiful! May you be blessed with a very long and happy life!!
